About Us

Values & Rhythms

  • We believe we were created by him and for him, so we joyfully and continuously affirm that life is about knowing him and treasuring him as more beautiful, valuable, and satisfying than anything or anyone.

    (Matthew 13:44-46; Romans 1:16; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Colossians 1:6, 15-20, 2:6-7)

  • We strive to delight in hearing, studying, learning, discussing, praying, obeying, sharing, and meditating upon God's word. We study to recognize Christ as the 'point' of all scripture and to see the gospel story throughout the entire biblical narrative.

    (Luke 24:27, 44; John 15:7; Acts 17:11; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

  • We seek the Spirit’s presence and power not only individually, but especially when we gather. We earnestly seek his manifest presence, to discern his voice, and experience his transformative power. We want to live in the reality that God is truly with us, speaking to us, and can do anything because nothing is impossible for him.

    (Luke 3:16, 5:17; Acts 2:1-4; 4:31; Romans 14:17; 1 Thessalonians 5:19)

  • We emphasize that every member is gifted by God to serve and strengthen his people. As such we share leadership responsibilities, and establish an atmosphere of continual mentorship, teamwork, and empowerment for every ministry.

    (Mark 10:45; Ephesians 4:16; 2 Timothy 2:2)

  • We seek to genuinely love one another as Christ has loved us. Since all people are made in the image of God and have inherent dignity and value, we welcome others with sincere acceptance, interest, and care. We seek to be a 'safe' place characterized by trust and humility where all people can be vulnerable about their failures and sin. We highly value the church, affirming that Christ through his body is the 'place' of gospel-centered teaching, counseling, correction, healing, reconciliation, guidance, encouragement, and transformation.

    (Gen.1:27; John 13:34-35; I Corinthians 12:7, 18, 27; 1 John 4:7-12)

  • Jesus came to seek and save the lost, and he continues his mission through his people. As recipients of his saving grace, we seek to share his saving love with non-believers in our community by serving, building friendships, sharing our faith in Christ, and welcoming them into the church family. We hope to equip more and more servant-leaders to plant new house churches so that every neighborhood can experience his saving love.

    (Luke 19:10; Matthew 5:16; 1 Peter 3:15; Acts 5:42, 8:4)

  • Since global missions begins in our own neighborhoods, we seek to befriend, serve, and share God’s love with people of different nations, races, religions, and backgrounds. We want to mobilize our church family for cross-cultural ministry and church planting both in our neighborhoods and among the nations.

We will give focused attention and resources to a few, strategic nations and develop long-term partnerships that lead to healthy, reproducing, gospel-centered church-plants. By God’s grace, we will be zealous for all nations to experience their greatest joys in Jesus Christ and his gospel.

    (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46-48; Acts 1:8)
